The Nepali embassy has been opened in Portugal, a historic first! A team from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has started its work now that the embassy is based in Lisbon, the country’s capital. For now, the embassy is operating from a temporary office located in the Alcântara area of Lisbon. In collaboration with the Nepal Embassy in France, the Lisbon embassy has launched a mobile service that helps with consular services and document verifications. The mobile service began on Friday and has already handled about 200 documents, including police character certificates

Five Nepali nationals, including four men and one woman, were rescued by the Nepali Embassy in Thailand, with the help of the Thai government. Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality Chair, Prem Prasad Pun, shared that three out of eight planned hydropower projects along the Myagdi River, as well as its tributaries Gurja and Mudi rivers have started construction. The Upper Myagdi-1 Hydropower Project will feature a dam in Khamla, Mudi, and a powerhouse in Malika Rural Municipality-7, Bharbang. The project has already built an access road and begun work on the tunnel and dam infrastructure, according to Project Chief Jyoti Kumar

It’s a pretty huge jump compared to last year, and it’s raising some concerns.The external debt is Rs. 1,328.25 billion, while domestic debt comes to Rs. 1,282.81 billion. These numbers are based on the latest report by the Public Debt Management Office.
