In Mustang ,a new waste management campaign has been launched to deal with the increasing plastic, lead, and metal waste. This initiative is aimed at tackling pollution and restoring the region’s natural beauty.
ACAP's leader, Pramod Raj Regmi, explained they have made plans to collect non-biodegradable waste from trekking routes and local areas. They put it in one place for proper management.Regmi shared, “We began this campaign because the pollution in Mustang is growing, which harms human health and animals too.”
They’re sending the waste collected to the Pokhara Recycling Centre. ACAP signed a deal with Green Road Waste Management Pvt. Ltd. in Pokhara for disposal.
Recently, ACAP sent 1,986 kgs of waste to Pokhara. Earlier, on January 17, 1,238 kgs collected from Syang and Thini were also sent there.Plans are also being made to set up more garbage collection centers in Ghansa, Lete, and Lobang this year.
