In a historic moment for Nepal, Palesha Goverdhan has won the country’s first-ever medal at the Paralympic Games. The 21-year-old Para taekwondo athlete captured the bronze medal in the women’s K44 -57kg weight class at the Paris 2024 Paralympics, defeating Marija Micev of Serbia with a score of 15-8.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has unveiled a new initiative to significantly improve the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) pass rate to 70% across Nepal. Speaking at the 29th convocation of Kathmandu University, where he also serves as chancellor, PM Oli emphasized the importance of online education in achieving this goal.
