NRCC is holding its annual panel discussion on 16th of February at St. Xavier’s College, Maitighar from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The event, called “Building a Sustainable Research Ecosystem in Nepal: Digital Tools, Collaboration, and Policy,” is free and open to all.
This year’s conversation will be focused on how new digital tools, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and online research platforms, can be used for better research in Nepal and also the kinds of new models of research driven through partnerships between the government, universities, private companies, and research organizations can fuel development.
Experts from various fields, including Minendra Rijal (ex-Minister of Information and Communications), Rabindra Prasad Dhakal (Secretary of the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology), Sunita Gautam (Chairperson of Novala Biotech), Bikash Gurung (President of the Robotics Association of Nepal) and Bhaskar Bhatt (CEO of Dignep) will speak at the event. They will talk about how to address problems such as insufficient funding and poor infrastructure while also designing improved policy for research.
The NRCC has not only established itself as a research community in Nepal, but it has also confirmed its official registration in 2022 along with organized monthly Research Talks and STEM campaigns ever since its establishment in 2019 to promote research in Nepal. This allows students, researchers and various members of the community contribute to forming a stronger research culture in the country.
