Last night in Pathibhara (Mukumlung) in Taplejung saw heavy snowfall. This area is at 3,794 meters above sea level, and the snow covered nearby regions too.

This was the heaviest snowfall in Pathibhara this year, following a lighter snowfall last month, according to Rajendra Mahat, a member of the Pathibhara Area Development Committee. Snow reached as far as Kafle Pati.

Despite the snowfall, pilgrims visiting Pathibhara were not disrupted. Prajin Hangbang, the executive director of the Committee, explained that a fiber roof has been installed along the two kilometer trekking route. This ensures that pilgrims can reach Pathibhara Dham even in snowy conditions.
